La Paz bike rental / sales

Hi guys,
Anyone know a place in La Paz (Bolivia) where I could rent a bike for a week, or to buy one and sell it back in a week?

Hi,
well I do not exactly know if they give you a bike for rent, but I am quite sure that you can buy a bike there:

Nosiglia Sport Ltda.
Av. Costanera No. 29 (Calacoto)
Zona sur
La Paz – Bolivia
Tel: (591-2)2794904
Fax: (591-2)2771395
Email: nossport Attt ceibo.entelnet.bo

They are really helpful and I never had problems with them.

check them and ask if they do or not.

Have a nice ride

Just had two XT600s serviced at Nosiglia Sport - superb service, complete confidence in the work. Really nice people and I've heard they hire bikes too - recommended.

Back from Bolivia ... thanks for the links. I hired an early model BMW 650 that had seen better days via Nosiglia. Wasnt the most reliable BMW I have ever ridden, but had a fun week anyway.

Some great photos for anyone who wants to take a peek at http://waltercamilla.openswarm.com/Bolivia/

There is a guy in La Paz who owns a few bikes that he hires out ... Africa Twins KLRs all sorts of stuff. His name is Massimo Giannini ... an Italian guy who is connected to the Nosiglia dealership thru marriage or something. Massimo (Max) will hire the bikes. I juat took one for 6 days, at $80 a day. I think he has had a couple of bad experiences with hiring out recently and he may be thinking of getting out of that line of things, so check with him. It should help if you can show him you are an experienced rider who knows how to look after an engine. Apparently he has had a couple of fried engines come back to him recently.

I dont have his email address here at work, but will get it for you later and update this post.

Renting bikes isnt cheap and is only ever a short term solution for a short term trip
