Spent 3 wks Mendoza trying to get my KLR out of customs(long story!), and never came across any KLR stuff;however, in San Rafael(not too far south from Mendoza)the entire police force was KLRs and they adopted me like a brother. I, Too, was having speedo issues and they took me to guy that does their repairs. He fixed it up quickly. Also not a bad little town to visit. Stop when you see a cop on KLR and he'll help. Good luck -- Porter

Speedo repairs San Rafael

Hi, I live in San Rafael. However I am currently on hols on my bike in the lake districts of Argy and Chile , back in San Raf by next weekend.
There is a shop 3 blocks from the main street (Yrigoyen) on the street called 9th July, here is a man who does nothing except repair automotive instruments. I would reckon that he will be able to fix it as long as the casing itself is complete.
Last post about the police is true, very helpful and most do ride KLR650s, plus Harleys, BMW650GS, and local Honda 400 and 250s.
regards
John.
