Hi all, I will be riding from Argentina to Alaska in march for charity and was wondering if anyone could give me advice on the availability of Honda spares for my NX650 across S.A. Also tyre availabilty as this would greatly reduce the weight and bulk of spares I will ahve to carry.

Take an oil filter, some bits of wire, a leatherman and cash.

Honestly, I carried a lot of "junk" with me on my trip and all it did was weigh me down. Get a good service of your bike before you leave home (piston rings, new quality tires, quality chain and sprockets and save up a bit more cash if you are nervous.

The world is pretty small today and you can get anything you want anywhere you want. So dont worry...

Facts:
Chain kit, tires, oil and all other basic stuff is widely available - just check this forum well ahead and you will know which shops carry the stuff you need.
