Helpful agent in Ushuaia for Antarctica cruises
 

Several people had told me about their difficulties in Ushuaia in getting a last minute cruise to Antarctica at high season... either ships were full or there was a waiting list for last minute and they would have to wait a week or two to get on a ship. Some bailed and were extremely disappointed. An Aussie couple had good luck with this agent, I´m using her, and she has been fantastic. Great service, got me on the kind of ship I wanted (small, 100 pax), and about a 40 percent savings.

HOWEVER (and this is IMPORTANT), I told her I was going to post here and she asked me to tell everybody that if you want the best deals be sure to call her in advance. It only has to be a few days before you reach Ushuaia (we all know how hard it is to plan exact arrival dates), but obviously the more time the better. But do call first if you don´t want to be disappointed.

Please tell her that I recommended her. I leave for Antarctica on Tuesday, and will kiss a penguin for all my friends on Horizons.
