Gas on Ruta 3 in Chile
 

Does anyone know whether there is a gas station on Chile Ruta 3 from the noth ferry from Tierra del Fuego to Punta Arenas? For a number of reasons I don't want to take the ferry from Porvenir. Dave

I'm from Chile and I will be travelling were you are now in february... I never been there but I know that there is a gas station in CERRO SOMBRERO and CULLEN in the chilean side, and in RIO GRANDE and SAN SEBASTIAN in the argentinian side... you can check it here:

Does anyone has up-to-date infromation concerning gas stations?

I'm in Ushuaia now and rode around the area so that map looks pretty correct. What kind of up-to-date info are you looking for?

Main problem with maps is they just show where the fuel stations are, not whether they actually have fuel. Several large towns we have needed fuel have had one or more outlets closed waiting for tankers to arrive.

That's why we bring books :-) Time for a good read.

Yes, we used to do that - but too heavy. E-book is a good compromise.
