Full Moto: Talca Chile
 

To make a long story short, my engine cases and torque limiting starter gear for my 2000 DR650 finally arrived after spending more than a month in customs. I have been working In Talca Chile for the past two months at a winery and need to now find a Mechanic to take the motor apart, install the new cases, and put it back together.

My two options are basically to go with a friends recommendation of a good Suzuki dealership mechanic in Santiago. This would mean taking the engine on the train, getting it to the shop, and then hauling it back.

The other option would be to have the local Mechanic hear in Talca do the work. Much easier for logistics, but I am less confident about the repair job given the smaller size of the city and turnover of bikes. Does anybody out there have any experience with, or know anything about a shop named

"Full Moto"

located in Talca Chile?

hola,

I changed the starter gears on my girlfriends bike (1998 DR650SE) last year for a torque limiting gear, before the cases cracked.

hard to say what you should do, go for the best mechanic because it means a total engine rebuild. sorry, I dont know Full Moto, I only know mechanics in Temuco, but none that I can recommend.

you will find a good mechanic, the DR engine is not that difficult.
