fuel 85 or 95 for 1150 GS & F 650
Hi,
we are leaving Europe soon for SA. thinking about the possible "diference" between Europe & SA we reconigize the octaan nr. of the fuel. Who drove a 1150 GS (not the adveture, buildt 2003) thru SA and how did you handle the low octean nr.? Same question for the F 650 (1cylinder, built 2001) Do we have to worry? I don't thing so, but it would help me to get some advice. kind regards, ils |
fuel 95 in Argentina is mostly known as "Super". Use it without fear, it's a very good one. The 85 is known as "comun or common in enligsh" and when you are reaching Ushuaia it is very hard to found it.

I run F650 Dakar 2002 without the catalytic converter to enable to use leaded. Runs on everything leaded/unleaded good stuff/poor stuff.
Carry some octane booster and injector cleaner - works cleaning up multi fuel stoves too (the latter that is) |
thanks for the reply, As far as I can see I thing the most countries are ok. mayby Bolivia can give some problems?
onther reactions are still welcome. ils |
