Dakar 2014 in San Rafael 6th Jan
 

Folks,
we are currently taking time out from the big journey and volunteering on a small farm in San Rafael. We just found out that the Dakar will pass pretty much by the front gate on day 2. Our hosts would like to put the invite out for any riders in the area to come and join the spectacle.
Plenty of room for camping and we plan to get the grill well and truly fired up.
The farm is located around 28km from San Rafael on RN 143, the bikes start coming through just after midday.

If anyone would like to come and join in then just let me know.

Hey Mark, I'm guessing you are at John and Annette's?? I'm mulling over coming down for a few days and starting following the Dakar from there. Might well see you after missing you in Mendoza!!

actually we are staying with another host doing some volunteering on a farm but I hope to catch up with Annette before we leave town. The ride down from Mendoza is pretty straight forward and quick (250km), would be good to see you down here before you head north!
