Coyhaique Chile Repair Shop needed
Buddy is broken down 6 hours south of Coyhaique. Going to truck it up to town. Suzuki DR650 with probable transmission problem (3rd gear). Anyone have any experience with or know of a shop around here?

Chiming in to correct that link. Try this, instead:
Moto Rent Adventure | Coyhaique is a small town but has all the usual services, being far from anyplace else. There's even a NOLS center just outside town. Everyone knows everyone else's business, so it's easy to find what you're looking for. Hotels seemed expensive, but the campground is a good, sociable place if not too crowded. Hope that's helpful. Moto rent
Thanks Mark,
I've just emailed them so hopefully I'll get a response. I also went to community contact page & tried that as well. I live in the Vancouver BC area, maybe we could meet up some time. If I ever get outta here. |
Long time ago (in human timescale, not geological) a Vancouver rider or two organized a casual pub meetup one evening. It was great fun, and I accumulated so much positive karma that even the speed trap cops on my way home let me off with a warning (and no heel-to-toe-touch-your-nose sobriety testing).
Most of those who attended have moved on to other pursuits now, and at least one has died, but some are seen here on occasion. Might be time for another... As to the original question, I've always suggested phone calls rather than emails, particularly when the latter don't seem to attract responses. enjoy, Mark |
Good luck Richard, hope they had room on the bus for you. Hopefully the Moto Coyhaique club members will take you under their wing.
