Buying a motorcycle in Colombia without a motorcycle license?
 

Hi there,

I'll be spending another winter in Colombia next year and would like to purchase a motorcycle to have while I'm there. My problem though is that despite having learned to ride from renting shitty Chinese made bikes in various countries I haven't had the chance (and won't because I spend my summer here in Canada working in the bush) to actually get my motorcycle license. I do have my car drivers license of course though and can get an IDP, so my question is will that be good enough to legally purchase and drive a bike down there? Definitely appreciate any feedback,
