Bike in Colombia
Yes, I bought a Royal Enfield Himalayan.
There was no problem to get it registred in my name. And I can travel wherever I want. Since it is Colombian, there is no Temporary permit in Colombia that expires. I used it for a 5 month tour in SA. Left it for 9 months. And now I am using it for a second trip. I pay yearly SOAT for Colombia and tax. No mecanical inspection, since it is new. The RE fits me perfecr. But a new one is around 4 000 USD. About bikes. I posted some infon in another thread. Search and find. I have got a friend in Colombia. That works as a motorcycle mecanics. But can also help with buying and selling process. If you do not buy direct from a dealer, that do all work. He is in Cali. If you want his contact, send me a PM |
