Bridges closed and great border crossing
 

I recently returned from Central America and thought I would highlight a couple of things.

The bridge over the river at Choluteca,Nicaragua is closed for repairs. There is no signage to let you until you arrive at the bridge and can see the town just over the bridge. Turn back to the next road that turns right.

Same for the bridgeover the entrance to the harbor at Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica.

The best border crossing between Mexico and Guatemala is at La Mesilla / Paso Hondo. No tramitadores needed--simple quick and cheap- and the ride through the highlands of Chiapas/Guatamala is spectacular.
