brazil gasoline quality

My bike(xr250 tornado)starts consuming a lot of gasoline.
IT did 27-30km per litre before(In Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Argentine, ),but now only around 15km(in Brazil ).
I went to a local mechanic in Porto alegre and cleaned carburetor and air filter. Changed engine oil and spark plug some 1500 km ago.
However, no improvement.
So I went to another mechanic in Florianopolis.
They said nothing is wrong with carburetor and possibly due to
low quality of gasoline in Brazil.
I use Comum gasoline in Brazil.
Am I missing something?

Your advise is highly appreciated.

Jk

Thank you Cleland.

That's what I thought.
15km is too bad.
My immediate thought was gasoline must be leaking somewhere.
But mechanic doesn't think so.

hi tony

i am not really sure about what percentage is ethanol in COMUM.

even if 25%, 15km still sounds too bad. doesn't it ?
