BAJA-MEXICO CITY-no Central-SOUTH AMERICA, Feb2017-June2017

Hola amigos, kiwi here with a bike in LA, planning for an early Feb start. Plan is to ride Baja and either head back to LA and fly bike/me to Colombia or ferry to Mexico mainland and then fly bike/me to Colombia via Mexico City. Heading south, and weather at the southern latitudes could get cold in May...so possibly shipping bike/me to Santiago or BsAr to ride Ushuaia 1st and then head north? Either way I'm keen. Skipping Central because I've been to half of it, and don't fancy multiple borders, fixers, bribes and prefer to focus on SA riding (plus time is limited so prefer to spend it in SA).

I'm 40 and fit, love my off-road, and travel fairly light on a 135kg BMW g650x-challenge, 30kg gear, and me. Camping preferred, and occasional hostels etc. Happy to ride a lot since I only have a few months instead of half a year or more. Anyone keen? My spanish is ok, survival styles but will improve once I start speaking again, and I'm fairly resourceful.

I thought I'd ad a video of the ride I just did this summer on the Continental Divide...9500kms from LA to New Mexico, then up to Banff in Canada by mostly off-road, then looping back through BC, Washington, Oregon, Cali. At least u can see what I like to ride and if I'm capable :thumbup1:
