12 month temp importation - Uruguay
 
I plan to store my bike for almost 12 months in Montevideo. Can anyone confirm that the 12 month temp import permit for Uruguay will be granted when entering the country via the Buenos Aires- Montevideo ferry. I have read that a land based crossing point should be used between the two countries to be sure of getting the 12 month permit as entering by sea can be hit and miss.

Yes you will get a 12 month permit IF YOU ASK FOR IT.
