THIS IS WORTH A DETOUR!

In the cover of darkness, after 8 hours in the (wet & windy!) saddle we stumbled across Charlie who welcomed us into his mini version of Paradise, The Jungle House.

Located (south of San Jose) on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica between Dominical & Quepos, Matapalo is on the edge of the Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio.

Charlie has a range of accommodation options (including camping) but is willing to honour our luxurious deal for $30 per night (double room) to bikers (especially HU bikers!) who ride into town.

Buried amongst the palm trees, you are a stones throw from a quiet, desolate idyllic 30km long, stretch of paradise.
