One of the best kept secrets of Sucre is The French Consulate. Christophe, the consular rents out rooms and studio apartments in his home/consulate in Sucre. It is a beautiful white mansion with a lovely courtyard in the centre of town and there is plenty of space for parking the bikes. The longer you stay the cheaper it gets, we stayed there for 5 weeks in a studio apartment and it worked out to be cheaper than a room in a hostel! Christophe and his family are really lovely people and it is just a really nice, tranquil place to hang out for a while.
