Am totally fed up with another Cold, Wet, Dark, miserable UK winter.

Anyone know of a decent place in South Spain to hole up, from December to late March 2016.
Preferably close to the Sea and a Marina.

In Spring of '16 I’ll be taking my small Yacht into the French Canals

I have been exploring south Spain this May starting from Seville up to Girona. The best place for me was Malaga. Seville is also very good place but I liked Malaga more.

If you go little bit up, Valencia is reasonable. It is historical if you like it. Out of these Barcelona is pretty good as well if you want a bit modern city.

I recently discovered workaway.com and helpex.com. You stay with a host and do some work (normally about 5 hours, basic DIY, gardening, farming, etc) in return for bed and board. Normally a few volunteers there, etc. If you're looking to pass some time and prefer not to sit around alone it might be worth a look. Lots of interesting places to stay.
