PCX 125 from Bucharest, Romania to Lisbon, Portugal via Brussels, Belgium

Hello everyone. I'll start by apologizing if after all the lurking I've done it haven't chosen the correct sub-forum to post this in.

The plan is to set out on my Romanian-registered Honda PCX 125 from Bucharest to Lisbon in late May, make a stop in Brussels and then continue on to Lisbon. Apart from basic parameters such as distance and estimated costs (gas, accommodation and food, plus the 4,000 km scheduled service - currently I have 2,000 kilometers on the PCX), I have not looked into any other aspects that a trip like this would involve.

I am a pretty big dude, currently tipping the scale at about 110 kilos, but as my username says, I am working on changing that. I have no plans to take a lot of luggage or too many items apart from what I think will be absolutely necessary, like some light rain gear and a bunch of clothes and a few electronic devices, which ought to fit inside the PCX's seat. I am looking at top case options at the moment so I might have some extra storage space for more stuff.

Google Maps tells me it's a 4,200 km journey. My plan is to take it easy and I'm working on the assumption that I'll be covering an average of about 600 kilometers a day, on secondary roads, with as many stops as needed. I'm not planning on booking accommodation in advance, to keep my options open. I have no set schedule in which to complete the trip, so hopefully that will help me avoid any drama like riding in the rain for too long, sleeping rough etc.

I haven't thought of or planned beyond what I've said above, so I would be grateful for any suggestions or angles that anyone might have.

TL;DR Big guy wants to take 4,500 km trip across Europe on Honda PCX 125, any advice or heads-ups welcome.

Thank you all kindly in advance.

looks like a great trip!

600km/day might be a bit much. I'd revise that to something like 300km a day.

Thank you for replying so quick, Robbert, and for the suggestion. I agree that 300 might be a bit more reasonable; I'm basing the 600 km/day on how comfortable the PCX has been in the 2,000 kilometers I've done on it since I got it and also assuming all goes in my favor i.e. good weather, no incidents, etc. I don't want to put any unnecessary strain on the bike either - overworking the engine etc, though it's brand new.

I've averaged 400km a day when riding 125s through China and Indonesia so I will say 600 a day in Europe will be easy peasy.

Good on you for doing the ride on a PCX, I reckon it is a great choice for the ride you have in mind - the capability of modern small capacity scooters is greatly underestimated by most riders.
