Laos help needed
Hello
We are 2 Canadians traveling RTW. We have a serious bike issue and hope you guys can help. I have a BMW 650 twin with a broken rear shock. The lower bolt sheared off in Tingri Tibet. The bike was trucked to Shigatze and a weld repair done. This lasted 100 km. My bike is currently being trucked to the Laos border for exit Oct 17. The issue with the shock is a fault in fabrication and the company will ship a shock to us anywhere. We need somewhere to ship it to as close to the Chinese border as possible (?Luang Prabang), we may need help to truck the bike to that location, and a shop or garage to work on it. Thanks so much for any help or advice. We have terrible internet access here so bear with us for replies. Sara Pedersen Worldwideride.ca HU RR Finding Freedom |
Maybe you should try to post on Rideasia.com or GTriders.com - both expat based motorbike forums. There might be someone there who could help you....
