World maps
 

I'm planning a RTW trip for next year and I am looking for maps to take in addition to my Garmin. I've heard that the Russian 1:500,000 maps are the best. Does any one know where to buy these maps or if there are better maps?

The most detailed maps of Russia I found are in an atlas I ordered from Stanfords in London (don't have a website address but you can Google it. It's in Cyrillic (as most every other map of Russia I found is also) but according to Stanford's listing it's "Atlantic to Pacific Atlas (HBK) /9854090566". The downside - it's expensive. Much of Russia is 1:750,000 and the more remote areas are 1:150000. It's a big atlas with lots of detail.
