It's heartening to know that there are quite a few of us planning to do the same route around the same time. It would provide us all with a communication network along the way if needed (border crossing info etc.), and an extra security blanket should we all need it.

It may be a good idea for all of us to meet at a convenient location in the UK so that we can put a face to the name, and exchange travel plans and contact details and some ideas etc.

Your site says your in Rome, when do you expect to get to Turkey. I think with the flare up in the middle east , you choose to fly over Iran/Pakistan could be a wize one!
