UK to Corsica; just a quickie. Advice re Switzerland?
 

I'm planning a quick camping tour from UK, through Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, ferry from Savona Italy to Corsica. The return leg will be from Savona returning through Eastern France. 28th June to July 6th 2014.
We shall be avoiding motorways as much as possible, apart from the initial blast to get down to Lux.
Any recommendations on a route from North to South across Switzerland, roughly from near Basel to the South West shores of Lake Maggiore over the border in Italy? A campsite recommendation would be appreciated too.

I did this trip last September/October. After 3 days hiking in the Voges mountains I headed down through Belfort-Geneva Annecy-Val D'Isere-Susa Briancon and most the twisty roads to Savonna. If you like bends you'll love Corsica, I wild camped all the time even when walking the GR20 from top to bottom which is fineable at 300€ for a night! but I never had any problemsAfter a month there I came back via Ajaccio Toulon and up through Provence- Dijon to Belgium but again on all the small roads, one tank of full a day max when I'm trying to get somewhere!! So get down there but don't rush it.
