Tunisia to Tanzania
 

Two years ago we drove down to west africa, Senegal, and can't get enough of it. I got to go to Afrika again! :thumbup1:
Me and my grilfriend is on the early stages of planning a trip from Sweden to Tanzania i spring 2009 in our HJ60. If possible without a carnet.

Now to my question, is this route possible without to much danger?

Italy - Tunis - Libya - North Sudan - Ethiopia - South east Sudan - East Uganda - Tanzania and maybe Rwanda.

I've heard that a guide is necessary in Libya but is it possible to drive to Sudan without going through Egypt?
