Travelling The Med
 

Hello,

We are currently looking to follow the coast from Lisbon in Portugal to Istanbul. The idea being that we would like to travel through Croatia, Montenegro and Albania before reaching Greece and onto Istanbul. Has anyone done this route and if so I am interested to know if there are any border crossings or problems travelling particularly into Croatia then from Croatia into Montenegro and onwards to Albania. Any advice would be great. We are both travelling on Australian passports.

I suggest that you make a big mug of coffee and then put each of those countries into the search facility for the HUBB; read on from there!

Haven't done that route myself but have a Dutch friend who went from Croatia through Montenegro into Albania last year. I don't know her exact route but she had no problems anywhere - although she found the Albanian roads 'interesting' due to their state of repair.
