Tips on where to stay/workshop that's not in Tracks4africa

T4A seems to have become the digital version of Lonely Planet, pros and cons included.
But since we found some gems that aren't there yet we've decided to share them with whoever might be interested.
I'm sure these places will be included in the new versions as well, but if you're on the road now you might need them right away so here you go...;

Addis Abeba:
SEM (Swedish Evangelical Mission, but don't be scared - we're not believers either...)
N09° 03.635
E038° 45.722
Great place to camp, or to stay in their guesthouse. 20 acres of a nice secure compound in central Addis, just north of the US Embassy.
Kitchen facilities included.

Ultimate Motors;
N08° 58.254
E038° 45.695
For those of you with Land Rovers, Ultimate Motors have moved recently and it's now located on the other side of town.

Nairobi;
Wildebeest Camp
S01° 18.027
E036° 47.743
One of the nicest places to stay in Nairobi. A fairly new place, great management, nice atmosphere and good prices. The parking area is a bit limited, but everything else totally makes up for it!
We've tried the others as well and they don't come close to measuring with this place...
:thumbup1:

Don't know if this will help anyone, but anyway... Enjoy!

Hi Gus,

Thanks indeed!
I enjoyed a lot your site,really usefull.

As a off-road biker enthusiast,I've been there both Kenya and Tanzania two years ago,for motorbike saffari only off-road and last August South Africa,Botswana,small part(Caprivi Stripp)of Namibia and very small part of Zimbabwe(VicFalls).I can imagine how excited would you be to stay there and this all way down you plan to go.I love Africa and will try to do a.s.a.p. for me this trip to Cape Town.
Don't want to give you advices what to do or not,but just tought...Ngoro-Ngoro and Serengeti and Lake Maniara National Park in Tanzania are places that not to be missed...only just toughts,because I saw your plan is to go Mombassa coast to Tanzania and then Mallawi!
If you have enough time,try to get into Botswana,town called Kassane,which staying at three borders of Namibia,Zambia and Zimbabwe,so try to arange in the morning game drive into Chobe National Park(home of big elephant family's) and in the afternoon boat cruise of Chobe River...waooo unforgettable!VicFalls in August was much better from the Zimbabwe site,but now I think you have to ask,maybe from both Zambia and Zim..the best...:D

ENJOY YOUR WONDERFUL TRIP !!!!

Thanks. Trust you have sent them in to T4A? That way they'll be included in the next version.

We are still on the road, and since our Mac isn't compatible with the T4A software, we'll have to do all the updating when we get back home...

BTW, I've corrected the ultimate motors waypoint since I made a type-o...
(Thanks Stephan for noticing!)

Hey roken,

I added this into my database, if you don't mind.
Have a look at
sem , ultimate motors and wildebeest camp
and tell me if you are satisfied with the result.
Maybe you like to add a comment about subjective impressions, pricing and a picture to each poi.

If you register yourself at Traveller-Tracks, I am going to add these postings to your account of course.

This is the fast and direct way of exchanging such infos.

Contact me for posting such infos via email right out of your mac without any hassle.

Cheers Peter
