The Americas insurance etc
 

Ok, soon I will be flying my motorcycle into Santiago. I have read numerous threads now about people having difficulties getting insurance as they go along, as I planned on doing but as one guy noted too. I don't want to waste time, energy, money on finding bits of paperwork. But I do want something I can at least wave under officials noses so I don't get held up.thus does anybody in the know have details of insurance company which will cover much of S. America? I am pretty much resigned to buying as I arrive for central and North America. Also anybody have real life experience of the costs I am likely up for to get my bike through customs in Santiago?
