Hi! Has anyone here ridden this route or part of it?

I'm planning to bring my bike to Uzbekistan next spring and was wondering how many kms is is realistic to cover per day. I don't have much leave but would still like to make this trip and bring my bike to Tashkent, where I live - instead of shipping it. Also if you know, when would this trip be possible in spring, i.e. there would not be much ice and snow on the road? I take it earliest possible would be April. Thanks for any information! Cheers

Hi, what will your route be?

We drove via Beyneu into northwest border of Uzbekistan. The roads near to the border were the worst roads we have ever seen. But they were building a new road for parts of it.
Other than that it were pretty good roads.

We went into Kazakhstan via Oral, that are better roads than via Astrakhan.

We were with a campervan so cannot comment on bike driving times.
