Snow Pack in Siberia
 

I'm committed to a trip over the Road of Bones in Siberia and should be approaching from Yakutsk around Aug 1. From everything I can see they had a tremendously snowy winter. Does anyone have any info at all about the Siberian snow pack and its impact on the Road of Bones and surrounding area. I'll be prepared for the worst no matter what but any input is helpful.

August is summer, there will not be any snow in Yakutsk or anywhere on the Kolyma Highway. I doubt you'll even see snow on the mountains.

The Kolyma region is the coldest in the northern hemisphere but far from being the snowiest. You don't need snow preparations.

Be prepared for dusty roads and hordes of mosquitoes instead.
