Short trip, Scotland to Switzerland

Hi Everyone, I'm using the HU Switzerland meeting as another way to get a little bit off exploring done. I think a sprint through the Uk then a few days exploring between Calais to Zurich. Trying to stay off the main roads and out off big cities/towns any thoughts on great to see places along that way?

Thanks

I have done this route many times all be it in kit cars.

We normally travel via the Vosges Mountains (staying in St Die des Vosges) is at foot of this lovely little mountain range. After exploring this are we enter Switzerland via Basel then stay in Sarnen. The following day you are spoilt for choice and can travel the Grimsel, Furka and Sussex passes. We have the carried onto Italy via Stelvio pass and drop down to Tirano.

Cheers

Jim

Seconded.. more or less, depending on what floats your boat.
For instance, the route des Cretes in the vosges area runs more or less north/south but it, and the surroundings, can keep you occupied for a few days if you like the area.
