After a long time of research, we have found at least one possibility to ship cars from Italy, Greece or Turkey to Egypt:

The approximate costs I was given for a slightly oversized LR Defender are 400€ plus L.E. 500 (probably plus costs for customs and agent in Alexandria).
The shipping-duration is 2 to 4 days and the vehicle should be delivered to the agent in Izmir 3 days before the arrival of the vessel in Turkey. Contact with the Izmir office should be made well in advance, though I think!

Just one correction: the office in Egypt is in Alexandria, not in Cairo! Sorry about that!
