Scenic roads around italy
 

Hi, I am planning a trip around Italy in the spring of 2012. We were thinking about taking a train from the UK to Northern Italy (if possible) with the bike and then travelling around. We have allowed two weeks and have started off by making the amalfi coast our first Must See. We have not gone any further but would appreciate any links to trip reports around the west coast (Tuscany, Lazio) or any advice on the best riding roads and scenery.

There are some great old military roads/forts high up in Liguria on the French border not far off the coastline. check my website for report/details or PM me if your ok on gravel roads at high altitudes :)
