Russia to Lativa / Estonia
 

I'll be coming back from a trip to Russia in July, and will be pretty short of time on the return journey. I'm aiming for either Latvia or Estonia - I'm not particularly fussed which one / where, I would just like to chose the border which is likely to be the least busy.

Does anyone know a suitable crossing, or are they all much the same? I've only crossed the Russia - Estonia border at Ivangorod / Narva which was pretty OK, but it was the middle of winter, and I've heard there can be huge delays in summer...

I've crossed in Estonia and Latvia, no big lines either place. In any event, on my bike I usually ride to the front of the line.

It's possible to pre-book your Narva crossing time online to jump the queue.

Thanks for the tip, but this only works when going Estonia ---> Russia, and not the other way.
