Route Proposal: Morocco - Cameroon
Finally we (me & wife) will start our trip through Africa (in April).
We worked out some details of the planned route from Tangier, Morocco to Yaounde, Cameroon. I would like to briefly summarize our findings and would highly appreciate any feedback and most of all a sanity check! The basis for our planning is the valueable help provided by the forum (Special thanks to Scott!): Route finding: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...nd-map-84438-2 and: Overlanding: Routes The route is split in two sections: Tangier - Nouakchott and Nouakchott - Yaounde First section Morocco, Mauritania: https://www.google.at/maps/dir/35.78...5299!3e0?hl=en Second section: Mali, BF, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon: https://www.google.at/maps/dir/18.07...!4m1!3e0?hl=en Visa considerations:
After Yauonde,... we'll take it from there... We would really look forward to any hints, POIs, route proposals or comments. Cheers, Wauschi |
Austrian passport holders don't need a visa for Morocco, see Morocco: Passports and visas - TripAdvisor
But you will need to complete a temporary import form, see Import forms, fiches Some photos of the route through Morocco, Western Sahara and Mauritania: S10 Carry on Dakar! |
Tim, thanks for the hints (espezially to the fiches) and images!
Cheers, Wauschi |
Hi,
I'd reconsider your Nigerian visa in Benin. I know of several overlanders who are currently in Benin and have been denied the visa from the embassy there. It was however easy to get in Bamako. All the best Richard |
