Route Plan Help - UK to Alanya, Turkey.
 

I'am currently planning to do a bike trip, one way to Turkey via Calais.....

I plan to buy myself a bike in the UK, either A Kawasaki Z1000SX or a BMW
S1000R

I've been looking at various scenarios to get myself to southern Turkey.

I'am looking to take my time, So,.. From Calais, thru To Southern France, and into Italy to Varesse, and Bolognia visit MV and Ducati in Bolognia and head south to Bari to take the ferry to Greece and over to Istanbul.
Want to avoid Switzerland.

Like to have some thoughts about this route,.. Good or bad ?

I Plan to do this trip next year : June-July

It would be great IF I could find a companion / or group to accompany me as I plan to buy a home in Alanya, so you can stay at my place Free of charge enjoy a holiday before returning back to sunny England,....


I hope my plan has got you all thinking of the sunshine, amazing roads, food, and the thought of an awesome journey to Southern Turkey.

Go down the route napoleon in France then hook east over one of the smaller passes into Italy. The costal autoroute in Italy is hideous.

Back in 1978 we rode from Adana to Istanbul in a day, it was A very very long day

I live in France and have traded to Turkey several times ,I would stay away from Ruote Napoleon full of holiday traffic and Gendarmes . Follow the cols from Bourge st Maurice cross alps on Col de Lombardi head across Italy to Slovenia,Croation ,Montenegro coast ,cross Albania past lake ohrid .Northern Greece , Turkey and stay of motorways. Ps best roads in France D roads yellow on michillin maps . Hope this helps.
