Route from north Chile to Salar de Uyuni
 

Hi. I'm currently planning a 30 day trip through south america, that includes central and north Brazil, Peru (Machu Picchu), Chile and Argentina, and then back to Brazil in the south.

Altough, we think that might be possible to see the Salar de Uyuni. I'm trying to find information about routes that leads from Chile to the salar, and I only can find it starting from San Pedro de Atacama.

I'm wondering if it is possible to make a diferent route, starting from north Chile and entering Bolivia in a location north to San Pedro de Atacama. We will stop by the city of Arica, Chile. Starting there, is there any more directly route to the salar, instead of San Pedro de Atacama?
