A rough plan for my RTW trip
 

I have decided on a rough plan for my RTW trip and if all goes well in Jan 2016 I will be shipping a bike from the UK to the USA and heading to Russia via Mexico and Canada. Once in Russia I will head towards Europe via Mongolia and Kazakhstan and Not sure whether to go through Turkey back to Europe or Estonia. I think that will depend on how long it takes to cross Russia. Any helpful thoughts or ideas will be appreciated

Sounds good, but just a thought, why don't you fly to either Canada or Mexico then fly from the other-one to Russia rather than flying to the US which is in the middle?? It will safe loads of extra miles and money

Not interested in short trip I want to see as much of the world as possible. I estimate that I can take a year out maybe even more if I am careful.Also Leaving in January I intend to head south from say Florida into Mexico then back into America heading north to Canada as it warms up if flying my bike in is the best way to transport it then I will fly it and myself in.

I too am planning a years trip but in March/April 2016
Shipping one of my bikes to HALIFAX Canada and doing Canada/Alaska/USA ( possibly South America) then back up to Halifax and home.

Would be good to meet up if you are about then.
