Peru Motorcycle import question
 

Hello everyone, old like to re-introduce myself after a long absence on the forums, Blake El Explorador, six years and counting riding through Latin America! Currently taking my yearly break to work here in Canada and would like to extend an open invitation to anyone looking for information or advice - you can believe over my time I’ve been lucky to have support from many different sources and would love to give back some.

On to the question!

I’ve flown out of Peru and will be flying back, anyone with information on whether my vehicle importation permit will be extended to reflect migration?
It will Be 90 days since I entered the country on the 27th of this month.

recent talks with local travellers have made it clear Peru doesn’t mess around and will leave your vehicle to rust in a lot if you are even 30 min past your deadline. I’d rather forgo some lucrative work here and save the bike, but if anyone can chime in or point me to someone who flew in and out of Peru leaving their vehicle behind that would Be most appreciated.

For the record, I did not put it in a bonded storage.
