online maps
 

Hello all

Can anyone suggest some good online route planning maps where I can plan routes, places to visit and places to stay, want to be able to research places and routes on web and start to compile all my ideas in one place.

I use google maps which seems to work for us. Easy to do and you can send people a link to the map if you want others to see it!

Google maps, bing maps, google earth, garmin basecamp and OSM come to mind more or less immediately (I've dabbled in all of them), and I expect there are others I have never even heard of.

I guess it depends on how much time you want to spend looking at a computer screen; personally, I continue to fall back on paper maps - they are so much more satisfying. :thumbup1:
