For my first time away I am going to travel to Polland hopefully at the end of this month or early next on my Busa and friend on his fazzer.

I'm running from Leeds and would like to do Hull - Rotterdam and then through Germany to Polland. Only a need some help / advice on what ferry ( cheapest ) to take and the best route. Only have 5 days max for this first attempt though so any help much appreciated. Oh yeah great web site

From Leeds to Poland and back in 5 days ?
You'll only see the landscape in a blur when you're doing 200km/h on the autobahn :-)

But serious, to plan a route, I mostly use http://www.viamichelin.com/. I tried Leeds to Warschau and acording to viamichelin it is 1902 km and 21,45 hour driving time. (Without drinking, eating, visiting the bathroom and sleep)

If you are an experienced long distance rider that's OK but if you're not, My advise is to take more time or look for a closer destination.

Tinman, Are you still planning the trip for end Sept. I had to cancel mine (planned for 10-17 Sept) due to a crash on my Blackbird two days before departure. May do shorter blast to Poland end of Sept.

When do you plan to go? Maybe our paths will cross?

We are heading to Poland on Friday 30th Sept catching the 9.00pm ferry from Hull to Rotterdam which arrives 8.00am the next day ( saturday ) we hope to get Krakow by late the same day but if not will set up camp somewhere in Poland. Sunday we plan to go to Auswitch concentration camp and then a night out in Krakow ( we have details of a camp site close by ). Next day head through Slovaki to Budepest and from there then through Austria ( Vienna or some other town )Next through Germany via possible Nurenburg ring and then finally back to Rotterdam. After the night in Krakow we are a bit rusty on time scales etc but I suppose that's some of the fun. Happy to meet up etc just let us know your plans.
