Nth India , Nepal route advice please
 

Hi all,
I'm headed over to Delhi this Sunday for two months and wanted some advice on a route ending in Kathmandu on a Bajaj pulsar.
I've got a rough idea of where I'm headed but would appreciate some suggestions as I haven't really been able to research too much as I've been moving through SE Asia.
The heavy weather in india is a concern and ask your advice on how that effects my route.
My rough plan which is very flexible as follows;
Delhi>shimla>manali>leh>pangong Tso and Nubra valley(how difficult is accommodation here?>dharmsala(best route from leh, srinigar, jammu?)>Jaipur>Agra>Varanasi>chitwan NP Nepal>pokhara>Kathmandu valley> east Nepal ??

Sorry for the lack of detail but I'd appreciate any advice you can give on any culturally significant and ir scenic stops between these destinations. Any advice on where to stop for the night would be great too, I'm riding a road bike so no real wild mud bogs please,

Nubra valley is one if the most stunning places you will lay eyes on. There is a nice homestay in Diskit. Another one up in panamik as well. If you go up there you will have a fair bit of hairy road and water crossings. The small bike should get you over it but watch out for snow on high passes. The altitude is tough too, don't rush...also know your range & where petrol is located. (one hand crank station in nubra valley) enjoy Ladakh it's awesome!

I was going to take a bajaj 150 up there, do you think it would handle the altitude climbing with a combined 150kg rider and gear?

In not sure bit we did see all sorts of bikes over 5000 meters :) they rent them in Leh as well, I'm sure people do make it. If you do get stuck, there's always other riders and trucks to help you muddle through...

It's in Diskit. The guy is not always there so ask around...

Nubra valley has 2 forks, both are beautiful. The east valley be careful not to go too far or the army will detain you. Good times!

It seems that there is a way to get from there along a river to pangong tso but we tried, they haven't built the road yet. It's a dead end. You can loop around via another pass to karu (I think? My Internet is slow) around there is the only other petrol up there other than Leh itself. Then go back out to the lake. Or of course go back over Khardung La which never gets old!

Pangong tso is the one place we didnt get to, the snows came...and we were there for weeks! Reason to go back:)

If you go to Mcleodganj (not dharamsala) take the road marked for trucks. The other one is scary steep, tiny and missing chunks on the hairpins.
