Not real sure about this but as your bike is from Singapore I do not think that you will need any paperwork to enter either Malaysia or Indonesia. Perhaps a phone call to the Indonesian Embassy would give you the best direction regarding paperwork.
Safe travels,
Cheryl

Hi,

You,ll need a "carnet de passage", but maybe (just maybe) you can get away with it since your from a neigburing country.

I guess best would be to enter malaysia (you need notting for this, just your pasport) and go to the "free trade port" near Malaka.

From there put the bike on a boat to Dumai and take a ferry yourself.

In dumai you get the bike of the boat and enter the citty. If you want you can now drive all over the place, but that,s iligal.

So... you go to the customs office and proces the carnet.
next you go to the police-station to get a "drive your bike"-permit. (big bike,s are iligal and can not be driven without police-escort.... unless you are a foreighner)

The permit coasts notting, they,ll probably even feed you http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/wink.gif

If you want some help at the scene, contact the english college in Dumai. They love to help (if you can speak english).

Enjoy, Indonesia is SUPER!!!!!
