Mexico - suggestions wanted for routes
 

Hi all, I am planning a trip to Mexico. I will fly from Australia to Dallas Texas, pick up my bike and then head south. I am researching possible routes and keen for any recommendations. I plan on spending 2 months or thereabouts on the road, possibly more.:scooter:

Keen to map something out using advice from those who have been there.

Maybe say something about what you like to do, see, experience….? My suggestions about the perfect beach vacation (for example) might not correspond to your dreams of endless mountain twisties. Or colonial cities. Or deserts, urban culture, museums full of indigenous relics, or hanging with ex-pats from the US and Canada. Plus you don’t say what time of year, and that’ll make a huge difference in some areas.

Beyond that, it’s difficult to answer a question which basically says “What should I do in this rather large and varied country?” Far easier to respond to specific inquiries about specific places and their associated activities: “Are the whale-petting excursions in Baja worthwhile?” “Can I ride through the slimey tunnel up to Real Catorce without dumping my bike?” How much does lodging cost in Mexico D.F. Et cetera.
