OK bit boring I guess but, heading into the Alps from Metz side of E France, Sept 2010, what are the MUST DO passes across to Italy? Thanks guys

You could do the Grimsel Furka and St Gothard passes without going out of your way , best on a weekday, the weekends become a little manic !!

Hi fellow Manc, Bushmans bang on , great passes, do an overnight stay in Grindllewald, camp at the bottom of the Eiger with stunning views, you can do all 3 passes in a day without your luggage.

Swiss cops
 

Just a heads up about the Swiss Police, they take a very bad view of Bikers coming there and Riding fast.
I know of one guy who was speeding on the motorway, a local driver not a cop phoned ahead to the next police point and had him stopped and then gave evidence against him resulting in a fine, so its not just the cops to watch out for.
Also to ride on the Autostrada you will need a years pass!!!!!!
They also take a dim view of not getting one
