For sponsors, I just e-mail them with a presentation of the idea.
Tha main sponsor in this project was Mitsubishi sweden, since it was a Mitsubishi Suv I was planning on using.
Since they were going to cover 80% the rest is no big deal.

I don't know which companies in your country are keen to the idea of sponsorship but there ought to be a few.
Tire and oil manufacturers are given. Perhaps some gps-company gives away a gps.
I guess it depends a lot of the presentation given to them if they accept or not. And then again, sometimes they back out.....ouch!

I have pm:d the list of e-mails. I don't post it here since e-mails on webpages generate spam. So I'll save them further spam, by not posting them here.
