Looking for 4x4 off road routes France/Spain
 

Hi, I'm just getting into the 4x4 game, as such I'm looking for some moderate off-road routes in Southern France/Pyrenees area.

It will be a 2 vehicle trip, both drivers have plenty of experience (Read old!) including some short term off-road driving in Africa.

I'm looking for routes that will be a bit of a challenge that will help us develop our skills!
Looking to head down in mid-September.

Any tips/advice greatly received ;-)

also would be interested if anyone knows of any in this region!

There are so many it gets hard to chose. I'd suggest you install some good topography maps on your pc/tablet/satnav and then it's just a question of access ( or not!) As in has ir been blocked by local authorities with height frames/ poles/ rocks/earth mounds/trenches etc and the 'defense de...' 'Prohibida' panels.
And once you're on the tracks remember that bears were reintroduced there...
