London to Switzerland

Hi everyone
I am going to be riding my motorbike from London to Switzerland and back again. If anyone knows of any great roads or points of interest along the way, please let me know :-) otherwise I will look at books/maps
Thanks very much!

In Switzerland itself, obviously the Grimsel-Furka-Sustenpass triangle.

In France, I think https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Route_des_Cr%C3%AAtes is roughly on your path. But otherwise it looks to be mostly main roads unless you want to take a major detour.

The Romantic Route through Germany?

Thanks :-) will look into that route, sounds interesting. I am not going until July, and will be going on my own - I not only have the route to decide on but I am fortunate enough to choose which of my bikes to take! T700 or CRF250L

Hello

Try a route alonge this area https://goo.gl/maps/PogyfXLzJjBetCKz5 (this is just in idea, not waypoints) and take the T700.
2-3 days, is what I would spend if I go to the UK and not in a rush.

Thanks! That route looks great :-) very helpful! My only issue with the T700 is it’s physically big and I suck at pushing it around for parking etc - but I guess I should start practicing!

I will be posting my solo trip on our Instagram @theshanallens if interested

Thanks again :-)

The Ardennes, Vosges, Jura, Black Forest... spoiled for scenic choice.
ViaMichelin.com is useful to identify the scenic routes - they're edged in green.

For GPS route files it's worth checking the Ride magazine website. link
I see a route to Calais - Monthermé listed. Not far from La Roche, Bastogne, Vianden area which offers some great riding.
Many routes are day-trip loops but they should give you some reliable options and suitable segments for your destination.

The B500 through the Black Forest is a nice ride from Baden Baden heading south, and the road that runs along the NE side of Lake Constance is good, there were lots of nice towns to go through, from Friedrichshafen, though Meersburg its route 31 (E54)

I don't think there are any bad roads in Switerland, probably the most beautiful country in the word...
