Laos,China,Tibet and Nepal
 

Hi there,
I'm just wondering has anyone gone from Laos through China,Tibet and on into Nepal. I hear it is a difficult route due to altitude sickness and Chinese red tape,Permits and such. I really don't want to get a guide (where would I put him anyhow) if it is possible to do without and i don't know anything about altitude.
I'd appreciate and advice any one could give me. My alternative is to fly from Bangkok to Kathmandu but i think I'd be missing out on so much.

Ship to bangladesh
 

If you read the post here, it seems a lot of effort and expense to travel through china, if possible at all. when we were travelling from Oz to UK we were going to ship from bangkok to bangladesh, then ride through india into Nepal and back into India. That was the plan but we got waylaid. David and cheryl Laing did ship to bangladesh and then rode on.
