Kyr- Taj- Uz ...timeplan ?

Hi :-)

This summer I will do a round trip, starting and ending in Bishkek.

Going around Issyk Kul, spending time visiting sites with petroglyphs, Kumbor gold mine, a few hot spings. Going south to Naryn, Tash-Rabat, relaxing a bit, further south Ak Baital Pass to Murgabh, to Lander, bibi fatima springs, yamchun fort etc..easy going. A long the border all the way up to Khorog. Later Dushanbe to Iskander Kul, camping, later the Seven Lakes, relaxing having a beer or 4, crossing over to Samarkand(and Khiva?) - having a nice look at the city, doing some camping, before heading to Tashkent and Ugam chatkal national park, camping etc, crossing over to Kyr again to toktokul lake heading up m 41 to Bishkek again.

I have - so far -planned 6 weeks for this tour.....what do you guys think? ..a lot for you have done this route, more or less, and I would like to know your opinion and experience..is 6 week fine, for riding and relaxing at the same time, or would I have to rush full throttle to do it in 6 weeks?

Thank you in advance for your comments and advice ! :-)

When are you going? I have a similar plan but for 3 to 4 weeks in august.

Hi :-)

I will arrive in Bishkek on the 4 june and leave again the 16 july.

Would have prefered either may and june - or - mid july and august, but since I have students starting the 30 of july I couldn't..

Wish you a great trip ! :-)

Hey viking. This is that nice Dutch guy that you met last summer. :-) Not much to advise you except for Kyrgyzstan where I was about 15 years ago visiting Bishkek / Cholpon Stay / Karakol using local transport. I hiked a couple of days around Karakol which was nice. Not sure what that looks like now though. Gonna figure out my trip also in the coming weeks so will let you know.

...and If you ever go north again - you are mostly welcome stay at my place, and If I am not home, I´ll leave the key at the neighbour farm ( just stay away from my single malt collection) :-)
