Konstanz -Ofenpass- Garmisch

Hello
Looking at routes between Konstanz and Munich and considering dropping down and riding the Ofenpass which takes us North up to Garmisch.
Has anyone done this route or can offer advice with regards any expected tolls etc.
We have a hotel booked in Konstanz and in Munich the folowing night so trying to find the most interesting route to get us there.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

"us" is maybe two up on one bike or more than one bike; either way, it is a bit of a haul for one day of riding.
On the other hand, you have pre-booked accommodation so you can ride longer days knowing where you are staying that night.

I was down that way last year and encountered no tolls outside of the motorways in Switzerland and some of the (selected) Austrian routes - those in Austria are "selected" by the highway authorities for their particular scenic value (for which the tourists will gladly pay) such as the very highest of routes including those which access some of the ski areas. That's my view anyway.

It's a a bit of a haul because to get to the Ofenpass you will cross another half dozen or so; all that takes time depending on the time of year, the traffic and the like.

There is an excellent bit of asphalt between Glorenza (Italy) and Resia on the border with Austria.

ps I spent about a week doing what you propose to do in one day.
But I was having fun on nearly all of the roads in that area.
You can fill a day on the roads to the west of Garmisch-P.
